The Cars

The Ginetta is all new for 2008. It has a Ford 3,500 cc engine which has now been upgraded to produce close to 350 bhp. We have worked closely with the factory to develop the GT4 car into a specific Britcar-spec machine. It has upgraded aero, engine and cooling for the gearbox, diff and drivers!

The car is very light (less than 1,000kgs) and has good fuel economy making it a great endurance racing car.

For more information, see the G50 website: www.ginettacars.com

Our Marcos Mantis is currently for sale. It has a Ford 4.6 litre V8 engine developing about 370 bhp and gets to around 150 mph on the straight bits. It would go faster, but we run out of road! It can hit 60 mph from a standstill in 4.2 seconds.

The car raced in the original Marcos Mantis Challenge one-make series in 1998 and 1999. After that, until the 2005 season, it had relatively few outings.

There are currently 3 other similar cars in the Britcar series and there is keen competition between them for the bragging rights of finishing first.
Pictured is our Honda Integra Type R which was sold in 2007. It completed the Britcar 24 hour for the second year in succession.

Our “new” DBS will be making occasional outings in this year’s Heritage Grand Touring Car Championship. For a short while, we also campaigned the 1976 MGB GT V8, but this has now been sold.
