Leigh Smart
Leigh Smart is Managing Director Distribution of Bluefin Insurance Services, one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers. Bluefin is a national brand with a strong local presence. For more information on the Group, please go to www.bluefingroup.co.uk 44 years old (marginally taller – but fatter - than Kevin), from Newmarket. Leigh has also raced in our old Marcos Mantis and Honda Integra and completed his 5th 24-hour race in 2008. He has always been a fan of fast road-going cars, currently owning an Aston Martin DBS. Leigh has three children and lives near Newmarket. Leigh is a patron of the Prince’s Trust charity and an active member of its Insurance Leadership Group. < back to top
Kevin Hancock
Kevin Hancock is Managing Director Underwriting of Bluefin Insurance Services – the business behind insuremotorsport.com. 41 years old (male). Kevin has completed 6 round the clock races: 2008 in the Ginetta, 3 previous races in the Jemco Marcos Mantis, one in a Honda Integra and a one-off in the Spa 25-hour Fun Cup race in 2007, starting and finishing in 70th place out of 160 cars! The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) is the UK’s leading independent insurance trade association. As Regional Chairman of BIBA for 3 years Kevin represented more than 170 broking businesses throughout East Anglia. Kevin now sits on BIBA’s national General Insurance Brokers’ Committee. Kevin also spent three years as Chairman of the Newmarket Business Association; Newmarket’s leading business development and networking association. NBA represents more than 100 outstanding local business organisations. Kevin is also an Honorary Commander at the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath. He lives near Newmarket and has two children. < back to top
Andy Hancock
Andy is the Team Manager (and part time chef) for Jemco Racing. Andy works as the motorsport insurance manager with Bluefin Insurance Solutions. He has known Kevin since he was born. Andy has recently started racing an Alfa Romeo 33 with Frank Pettitt. < back to top
Frank Pettitt
Frank is Director of Midway Garage and is the team’s Chief Mechanic. He has a long history of preparing and running racing teams’ cars. Frank is married and lives in Bury St Edmunds, but works in Newmarket adjacent to Bluefin’s offices – where he also is a client. < back to top
Paul Brown
Paul Brown is our team 'odd job' - no task too small - sourcing our tyres and fuel and generally throwing himself into any job that needs doing over a race weekend. Paul is a Technical Underwriting Manager at Bluefin Insurance Services and is responsible for underwriting the MotorsportRiSK insurance product. < back to top
Carey Lewis
Carey, also a Director of Midway Garage, assists Frank with technical issues. Carey is also our bodywork expert and, hopefully, won’t be too busy this year. Carey races in the Tin Tops series, although he has moved on from his beloved Alfa Romeo to a Rover 216. < back to top
Alan Hancock
Is literally Daddy of the team (or at least 2 of us) and helps with catering and data analysis. < back to top
